(a translation of a section of his Nasâih al-Dîniyâh)

Imam al-Haddad, may Allah shower him with mercy, said:

Know! O gathering of brothers, may Allah ease us and you towards ease and distance us from difficulty and forgive us in the next world and the first one, that Ramadân is a month of mighty status and rank with Allah and His Messenger. It is the master of all months. Allah made fasting compulsory for the Muslims and prescribed it for them. The Exalted said:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ كَمَا كُتِبَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may (learn) self-restraint,- (al-Baqara 2:183)

In it, Allah descended His Book and made the Night of Power, which is better than a thousand months, among its nights. A thousand months is more than eighty years. Count and contemplate what this Night of Power is – a night that Allah has made greater than this long period. And Allah, The Exalted has said:
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِّنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ
Ramadhân is the (month) in which was sent down the Qurân, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong).
(al-Baqara 2:185)
And He also said:
إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ
لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ
سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّى مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ
We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power:
And what will explain to thee what the night of power is?
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months.
Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah’s permission, on every errand;
Peace! This until the rise of morn!
(al-Qadr, 97:1-5)
He, the Transcendent, made us aware that the Qurân was descended in the month of Ramadhân and then that He specifically sent it down on the Night of Power. The ‘descending’ was in one go from the Sacred Tablet (al-Lahw al-Mahfûz) to The House of Power ( bayt al-‘Izza ) which is in the lowest sky and then it was revealed in portions by Jibrîl (Gabriel) by Allah’s command to His messenger, upon both of them be peace over a period of 23 years. That is the period of Allah’s revelation to His Messenger, upon him be peace, as Allah revealed the Qurân when he was forty years old and he, upon him be peace and salutations passed away when he was sixty-three years old. That is what the critical scholars from the early and later generations have said.

The blessings of Ramdhân
The Messenger of Allah, upon him be peace, said regarding Ramadhân: ‘Ramadhân to Ramadhân, Friday prayer to Friday prayer and compulsory prayer to compulsory prayer cover up what is between them if one avoids the major sins.’
And he, upon him be peace and salutations, said, ‘it is the month of steadfastness (sabr) and the reward of steadfastness is the Garden.’ And he said of it, ‘its beginning is mercy, its middle is forgiveness and its ending is freedom from the Fire.’
Allah, the Exalted, looks to the Muslims on its first night and He will not punish the one He has looked to and He forgives them on it last night.
Jibril (Gabriel) said to the Messenger of Allah, upon both of them be peace, ‘whoever reaches Ramadhân and is not forgiven in it, may Allah distant him, say “amin”.’ The messenger said, ‘amin’. This is because the means of forgiveness in Ramadhân are greater than in other months and therefore the only one who is prevented from forgiveness is the iniquity of his rebellion against Allah and the enormity of ….. against Allah and he causes distance and rejection from the Allah’s door. We ask Allah form safety from His anger, His punishment and all His tribulations.
It has been related that the doors of the skies are opened as are all the doors of the Garden during Ramadhân. The doors of the fire are locked and the minions of Shaytân are banished to the seas so that they cannot spoil the fast and the standing in prayer of the Muslims. A caller calls on each night of Ramadhân ‘O desirer of good, come forward! O desirer of evil, go away!’
It has also been related that ‘whoever seeks proximity to Allah through a compulsory act will have the reward of seventy compulsory acts. Whoever seeks proximity to Allah through a superogotory act will have the reward of a compulsory act.’ The superogotory acts in Ramadhân are of the status of compulsory acts in other months in terms of reward. The compulsory reward are increased seventy times above those of other months.
And He upon whom be peace and blessings said, ‘whoever fasts the month of Ramadhân and prays the night prayer with faith and sincerity will have his prior sins forgiven. Imân here means believing and ihtisâb means with sincerity. And Allah knows best.

The fast has etiquettes without which the fast will not be perfected.

The etiquettes of fasting
Among the most important is to protect one’s tongue from lies, backbiting and falling into that which does not concern you and protecting your eyes and ears from looking at or listening to that which is not permitted and that which is superfluous.
Likewise one should protect one’s stomach from consuming anything prohibited or doubtful especially when breaking one’s fast. One should make special effort to only break one’s fast with the permitted. Some of righteous predecessors have said, ‘if you fast, take care about what you break your fast with and with whom you break your fast. This indicates the importance of …. And scrupulousness about what breaks one’s fast with.

Lesson Three: Reality of death, the torments of death and the death of the Messenger, upon him be peace.
Death is the first of many torments that the disobedient one will have to endure. For the obedient one, it is the last sorrow that one will face and a purification for what went before it. As the Messenger, upon him be peace, said, ‘Death is atonement for every Muslim’. The death throes alone, known as sakarât al-maut in Arabic, are enough to render life miserable and ‘banish heedlessness and distraction’.

The reality of Sakarâtul maut
He says, ‘Know too that the extreme pain of the death pangs is known in its fullness only to those who have tasted it. The man who has not done so may only come to know it through comparing it to the pains which he has actually experienced, or by inference from the violent states of other people during their death agonies, thereby drawing an analogy which bears witness to him.’ (p37-38)
He explains that the pain we feel is experienced according to the amount of spirit (ruh) that is present in the limb or that travels from the limb to the spirit. ‘No extremity from which the spirit is absent can feel pain.’ In the case of the death throes, the pain is direct. ‘The pain felt during the throes of death, however, assails the spirit directly, and engulfs every one of its fractions. The dying man feels himself pulled and jerked from every artery, nerve, part and joint, from the root of every hair and the bottom layer o his skin from head to foot. So do not ask about the suffering which he endures.’ For this reason it has been said that death is crueler than the stroke of a sword or being carved up with saws, or cut with scissors, since to cut the body with a sword only produces pain through its association with the spirit’. (p38-39).
Imam al-Ghâzali then draws on the tradition (hâdith and sayings of the earlier scholars) to graphically describe the death throes.

Other ‘calamities of death’
There are three ‘calamities’ that the wrong doer goes through.
1. The death throes, and this is tasted by all people
2. The angel of death, which is an horrific experience for the evil doer.
3. The witnessing of one’s place in the Fire by the disobedient one.

The Prophet Abraham, upon him be peace, saw the Angel of Death in the form he takes the soul of the wrongdoer and said, ‘were the evildoer to confront nothing but your visage after his death it would quite suffice him!’ (p43)
He also saw him in the form he takes the believer, and said ‘Were the believer to encounter only your form upon death it would quite suffice him.’ (p45)

The death of the Messenger, upon him be peace
In describing the death throes, Ghazali makes reference to the death of the Messenger, upon him be peace. This is a subject that he deals with in depth in Chapter Four along with the deaths of the Rightly Guided Caliphs. In conclusion, he says ‘Such were the agonies of death as they were endured by God’s Saints and dear ones. What, then, shall be our state, we who are engrossed in sins? (p43)

It is related of the Prophet (may God bless him and grant him peace) that upon is death he had by him a vessel of water into which he took to dipping his hand in order to wipe his face, saying, ‘O Lord God! Mitigate for me the agonies of death!’ At the same time , Fatima (may God be pleased with her) was saying, ‘How great is my sorrow at your sorrow, father!’ But he said, ‘There shall be no more sorrow for your father after this day.’ (p42)

The states preferable in the dying man
Imam al-Ghazâli mentions the that ‘the dying man’ should ‘have an aspect of peacefulness and tranquility’.
The preferable state one should be in is with a high opinion of Allah and pronouncing the testimony of faith, lâ ilâha illallâh. It has been related that ‘Whoever dies knowing that there is I no deity save God shall enter Heaven.’
In the narration of Ubaydullah he is reported to have said, ‘While uttering the Testimony’.
As for the one who dies thinking well of God, it is reported that the Messenger, upon him be peace, said that God (Exalted is He) says, ‘I am as My bondsman thinks me to be; so let him think of Me what he will.’

We ask Allah for a good ending sealed with declaration of faith and high opinion of our Creator. Amin. Amin. Amin.

Majlis yang akan di adakan bulan rajab tepatnya hari Ahad 7 Rajab 1428H, bertepatan dengan 22 Julai 2007 yang akan datang ini di beri nama oleh Habib Omar bin Hafidz : مَدْرَسْ النُّوْر ( MADRAS AL-NUR ).

Salah satu keistimewaan yang ada pada majlis ini adalah ia memiliki cara yang serupa dengan majlis-majlis ilmu di Tarim – Hadramaut, di antaranya Madras Rubath Tarim.

Pelajaran yang di ajarkan di Madras Rubath Tarim ini adalah Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, dan Tasawwuf, lalu kemudian membaca tulisan dari salah seorang Ulama’ Hadramaut yang terkenal dalam satu majlis, kemudian majlis tersebut di akhiri dengan membaca surat Al-Fatehah dan Yasin, kemudian Qasidah dan fatehah, lalu doa dan di akhiri dengan :
ربنا انفعنا بما علمتنا رب علمنا الذي ينفعنا…..إلخ
Dan pelajaran ini berlangsung selama 2 jam atau 2.15 minit.

Untuk MADRAS AL-NUR ini Habib Omar bin Hafidz telahpun menentukan pelajaran yang serupa, yaitu:

1. Tafsir: مختصر ابن كثير ( Mukhtasar Ibnu Katsir).
2. Hadith: التجريد الصريح لأحاديث الجامع الصحيح ( Al-Tajrid Al-Sharih Li Ahaadith Al-Jami’ Al-Shahih).
3. Fiqh : التنبيه ( al-Tanbih oleh Syirazi).
4. Tasawwuf: ( silsilah dari karangan Habib Abdullah bin Alwi Al-Haddad dan المجموع karangan Habib Abdullah bin Husein bin Thahir).

Kemudian majlis akan di akhiri dengan

* bacaan surat Yasin,
* Qasidah kemudian
* al-fatehah dan doa:
* ربنا انفعنا بما علمتنـا رب علمنا الذي ينفعنا…..إلخ
* يـا ربنـا اعترفنـا بـأننـا اقتـرفنـا…. إلخ

Dan Majlis ini akan berlangsung selama 1.30 minit (Bermula jam lebihkurang 12.00 tengahari).

Untuk Muslimat (permulaan kelas dan waktu untuk Muslimat akan di makluman kemudian) Habib Omar bin Hafidz telah menetukan pelajaran yang akan di ajarkan:

1. Tafsir: الجلالين (al-Jalalain).
2. Hadith : رياض الصالحين ( Riyadhusshalihin).
3. Fiqh wanita : التذكرة الحضرمية فيما يجب على النساء من الأمور الدينية ( Al-Tdzkirah Al-Hadramiyah), karangan Habib Muhammd bin Salim bin Hafidz ( ayah kepada Habib Omar).

Qulhu wallahu ahad itu satu pertiga Quran

42. Kafa bil mar-i kazhiban an-yahdatha bikulli ma sama’ (Rawahu Muslim)
Cukuplah dengan seorang itu menceritakan apa yang didengar tanpa ada bukti- dosa menyampaikan itu dah cukup besar

43. Kalimataani hafifataani ‘alal lisaani thaqilataani fil mizan habibitaani ilal rahman: Subhanallahi wabihamdih, Subhanallahil ‘aZim (Rawahu Bukhari wa Muslim)
Kalimah yang ringan di lidah tetapi berat di timbangan (al-mizan) dan dicintai Allah Yang Maha Pengasih: Maha Suci Allah dan Yang Maha Terpuji, Maha Suci Allah Yang Maha Agung

44. Likulli syai-in Safwatu waSafwatus Salaati at-takbiratul u-la (Hadithu hasan Rawahu Al-Baihaqi)
Setiap sesuatu itu ada yang paling baik (mutiara), yang paling baik dalam solat ialah takbir di awal (takbiratul ihram bersama Imam)

45. Laukaanatid dun-ya ta’dilu ‘indallahi janaha ba-’udhatin ma saqa kaafira minha syarbatan ma’ (Hadithu sahih Rawahu At-Tarmizhi)
Kalau dunia itu diibaratkan sayap nyamuk (yang sangat kecil), maka tidak akan diberikan walau sedikitpun kepada orang kafir.

46. Man salaka Tareeqan yaltamisu feehi ‘ilman sahalallahu lahu Tareeqan ilal jannah (Hadithu hasan Rawahu At-Tarmizhi)
Barangsiapa yang berjalan mencari ilmu kerana Allah, maka akan dipermudahkan baginya jalan ke syurga.

47. Man Sallal ‘isya-a fee jama’atin faka-annama qama nisfu laili wa man Sallas Subha fee jama’atin faka-annama Sallal laila kullah (Rawahu Muslim) Barangsiapa yang bersolat i’sya’ berjemaah seolah-olah dia telah bangun (beribadat) separuh daripada malam, dan barangsiapa yang bersolat Subuh berjemaah, seolah-olah dia telah bangun seluruh malam

48. Al-mar-u ma’a man ahab (Rawahu Bukhari)
Seseorang itu bersama orang yang dicintainya.

49. Ni’mal i-damul khal (Rawahu Muslim)
Sebaik-baik makanan itu ialah cuka (bercukup cukupan dengan apa yang ada - sedap atau tidak, berharga mahal atau tidak n etc)

50. Hal tarzuqu na wa tanSuruuna illa bidhu’afa-eekum (Rawahu Bukhari)
Tidakkah kamu mengettahui rezeki dan pertolongan Allah itu kerana du’a dari orang-orang yang dhaif.

51. Halakal mutanat-Ti-’un (Rawahu Muslim)
Hancurlah orang-orang yang melakukan kekerasan bukan pada tempatnya (perbuatan mahupun perkataan).

52. Wallazhi nafsi biyadihi layu’minu ‘abdun hatta yuhibba li-akhi-hi ma yuhibbu linafsihi minal khair (Rawahu An-Nasa-i)

53. La-akilun wa ana muttaki-un (Rawahul Bukhari)
Aku tidak memakan makanan dalam keadaan aku itu bersendeng

54. LatuSaahibu illa mu’minan wala ya’kulu To’amaka illa taqi (Hadithu sahih Rawahu Ahmad)
Janganlah kamu itu berkawan kecuali dengan orang mukmin, dan janganlah kamu memberi makan kecuali pada orang yang bertaqwa

55. Lahaulawala quwwata illa billah dawa-un min tis-’atin wa tis-’in da-a aysaraha alhamu (Hadithu hasan Rawahu Ibni Abi Al-Duniya)
“Tiada kekuatan melainkan dengan kuasa Allah” - ia adalah penawar kepada 99 penyakit, yang paling kecil ialah penyakit rungsing = penyakit yang selalunya berkaitan dengan hati.

56. Yassiru wala tu-assiru wayubasy-syiru wala tunafiru (Rawahu Al-Bukhari wa Muslim)
Senangkanlah (permudahkanlah), dan jangan menyusahkan orang, berilah khabar gembira agar orang tidak lari.

57. Ya-u-mul qaumu aqra-uhum lilqur-an (Hadithu Sahih Rawahu Ahmad)
Orang yang paling bagus (diutamakan) menjadi Imam dalam satu kaum adalah orang yang pandai membaca Al-Quran

58. Yaghfiru lilsyahidi kulla zhanbi-in illad-din (Rawahu Muslim)
Orang yang mati syahid (akhirat) adalah orang yang mati dalam peperangan kerana menegakkan agama Allah.

59. Yaqulullahu ta’ala: Ana ‘inda Zanni ‘abdibi wa-ana ma-’ahu izha zhakarani fa-in zhakarani fi nafsihi zhakartuhu fi nafsi wa-in zhakarani fee mala-in zhakartuhu fee mala-in khairun minhum. Wa-in taqarraba illa basyibra taqarrabath ilaihi zhira-’an wa-in taqarraba ila zharra-’a taqarrabtu ilaihi ba-’an wa-in a-tani yamsyi ataituhu harwalah (Rawahu Al-Bukhari wa Muslim)
Aku itu berada pada i’tiqad hamba-hambaKu, Aku bersama mereka yang mengingatiku, jika mereka mengingatiKu di hadapan khalayak ramai, Aku mengingatinya di depan khalayak ramai yang lebih mulia daripada itu (para malaikat, anbiya’ , awliya’), jika hambaKu mendekatiku secara merangkak, Aku mendekatinya secara berjalan, jika hambaKu mendekatiKu secara berjalan, Aku mendekatinya secara berlari.

MasyaAllahu kaana, wama lam yasya’lam yakun….alhamdulillah, by His grace, typing out of these 59 hadtih from its original text, famously known as “Mukhtarul Hadith” compiled originally by our beloved, Al-HAbib Umar alayhissalaam of Dar-al Mustafa, Tarim, which are arranged according to the order of Arabic alphabeticals has finally come into completion. May it give an untold benefits to the one who reads and practices them. The original text in Arabic can now be viewed online here.

Sadaqallahul ‘aZim wa Rasulillahi Sallahu alaihi wasallam.

Innallaha wa malaaikatahu yuSallu na ‘alannabi ya-ayyuhallazhi na-aamanu Sallu ‘alaihi wasallimu taslima:

Allahumma Salli wa Sallim wa Baarik ‘alaa Sayyidina Muhammad-i-ni’l
Faatihi limaa ughliqa wa’l khaatimi limaa sabaqa
Wa’n Naasiri’l Haqqi bi’l Haqqi
Wa’l Haadee ilaa Siraatika’l Mustaqeem
Sallallahu ‘alaihi wa ‘alaa aalihi wa as’haabihi
Haqqa qadrihi wa miqdaarihi’l ‘azeem.

O Allah! Bestow blessings, peace and favours on Sayyidina Muhammad,
who opens that which is closed
and closes that (Prophethood) which preceded;
who helps truth with truth
and who guides (mankind) to Your Straight Path, -
May blessings of Allah be upon him, his family, and his companions,
in great abundance, according to his exalted position.

The latter is known as Selawat al-Faatih,

which many mashaaikh (spiritual masters) have really taken this ancient salaat to heart, among whom is Al-’Allamah As-Sayyid Muhammad bin Hadi bin Hasan ibn ‘AbdurRahman as-Saqqaf al-Husaini who included it in his mosaic of salawaat and dua titled An-Nafahaati’l ‘Anbariyyah Fi’s Salaati ‘alaa Khayri’l Bariyyah (The Fragrance of Amber in the Blessings on The Best of Creation).

27. Ar-Rahimu na yarhamuhumurrahman tabaraka wata’ala irhamu man fil-ardhi yarhamukum man fissama’ (Hadithu Sahih Rawahu Ahmad)
Orang-orang yang pemurah akan dirahmati Allah, kasihanilah makhluk-makhluk yang ada di dunia maka akan dikasihi kamu oleh orang-orang di langit.

28. Zurul qubur, fa-innaha tuzhakkirukumul akhirah (Rawahu Majah)
Ziarahilah kubur-kubur (wahai lelaki dan perempuan), sesungguhnya ia akan mengingatkan kamu pada akhirat.

29. Zaiyinul Qurana bi-aswatikum. (Rawahu Muslim)
Perelokkan bacaan Al-Quran mu.

30. Suratu tabaraka hiyal maani-’atu min ‘azhabil qabri. (Hadithu hasan Rawahu Ibnu Marduwiyyah)
Surah Tabaraka (Al-Mulk) itu menegah kamu dari azab qubur.

31. Syafa’ati li-ahlil kaba-i-ri min ummati (Hadis hasan Rawahu Ahmad)
Sesungguhnya syafaatku ‘adalah untuk’ (=berfaedah untuk = berkuasa memaafkan) umat-umatku yang melakukan dosa-dosa besar

32. Sadaqatus sirri tutfi-u’ ngadhaburrab (Hadithu hasan Rawahu Tabrani)
Sedekah yang dirahsiakn, akan menutup kesilapan yang lalu.

33. Solatul jamaati tafdhulu solatul fazzhi bisab-i wa-ashrina darajah (Rawahul Bukhari wa Muslim)
Solat jemaah itu lebih afdhal dari solat berseorangan sebanyak 27 darjat.

34. To-’amul ithnaini kaafith thalathah waTo-’amuth thalathati kaafil arba’ah (Rawahul Bukhari wa Muslim)
Makanan yang untuk 2 orang itu mencukupi untuk 3 orang, dan makanan yang untuk 3 orang itu mencukupi untuk 4 orang.

35. Tolabul halali wajibun ‘ala kulli muslim (Hadithu hasan Rawahul Dailami)
Pencarian yang halal itu wajib atas setiap Muslim

36. Ngudwatun fi sabilillah aurauhatun khairu minad-dun-ya wama fiiha (Rawahu Bukhari wa Muslim)
Orang yang berpagi-pagi pada jalan Allah, lebih baik daripada dunia dan seisinya

37. Nganimatul majalisil az-zhikril jannah (Rawahu Ahmad)
‘harta rampasan’ bagi orang-orang yang menghadiri majlis ilmu itu ialah Jannah

38. Fatimatun bidh-’atun minni yaqbidhuni ma yaqbidhuha wa yabsuTuni ma yabsuTuha wa-innal ansaba tanqaTi-’a yaumal qiyamati ngairi nasabi wasababi waSihri (Rawahu Hakim)
Fatimah itu separuh daripadaku, jika ada orang yang dia (Fatimah) marah, aku akan marah, apa yang dibencinya, aku membencinya, apa yang disukainya, aku menyukainya.

39. Farqun ma bainana wa bainal musyrikinal ‘ama-ima ‘alal qalaanis (Rawahu Abu Daud)
Perbezaan di antara kamu dan kaum musyrikin ialah kami (muslim) memakai serban di atas songkok.

40. Qalallahu ta’ala: Ana ‘inda zhan ‘abdi bi falyazun bi maa sha-a (Hadithu Sahih Rawahu Hakim)
Berkata Allah Ta’ala: Aku ini di sisi (dekat) orang yang zhan (seorang hamba yang bersangka), maka perelokkanlah zhan kamu (di antara waktu-waktu yang mustajab du’a).

21. Da’ maa yariibuka ila maalaa yariibuk (Hadisu Sahih Rawahun Nisai’)
Tinggalkan suatu perkara yang menjadi syak dalam hati kamu kepada suatu perkara yang tidak menjadi syak (yaqin)

22. Ad-du’a bainal azhan wal-iqamah mustajabun fad-u’ (Hadisu Sahih Rawahu Abu Ya’la)
Doa antara azhan dan iqamah itu mustajab, maka berdoalah kamu.

23. Zhaqa ta’manil iman man radhiya billahi rabba wa bil islami deena wa bimuhammadin Rasula (Rawahu Muslim)
Akan merasalah kelazatan iman bagi orang-orang yang redha Allah tuhannya, Islam merupakan agamanya dan Nabi Muhammad (S.A.W) sebagai rasulnya.

24. Rubba asy-’assa aghbar madfu-’a bil abwabi lau aqsam ‘alallahi liabrah (Rawahu Muslim)
Demi nafasku (nyawaku) yang ditangan-Nya, tiada beriman (tidak sempurna) iman seseorang itu sehingga dia menyayangi saudaranya seperti mana ia menyayangi dirinya dalam kebajikan.

25. Raka’atal fajri khairu minad dun-ya wama feeha (Rawahu Tarmizi)
Dua rakaat sebelum fajar itu lebih baik dari dunia dan seisinya

26. Raka’atani bisiwaki khairun min sab-’i-na raka’atin bingairi siwak (Rawahul Darul Quthni)
Dua rakaat dengan bersiwak lebih baik dari 70 rakkat solat tanpa bersiwak

11. Thalathati la-turfa’u Solatuhum fauqa ra-u-sihim syibra: rajulun amma qauman wahum lahu kaarihuna wa amra-atun batat wazaujuha ‘alaiha sahit wa-akhwanun mutaSariman (Hadisu Hasan Rawahu Ibnu Majah)
3 golongan manusia yang solatnya diangkat sejengkal:
1. seorang lelaki yang ingin menjadi Imam, sedangkan ma’mum membencinya
2. seorang isteri yang tidur dalam keadaan suami marah kepadanya
3. 2 orang bersaudara yang bergaduh

12. Jalisul kubara-u wa sa-i-lul ‘ulama’ wa khalitul hukama’ (Hadisu Sahih Rawahut-Tabrani)
Duduklah bersama-sama orang-orang tua/besar, bertanyalah pada ‘ulama dan bergaul lah dengan hukama’.

13. Jahidul musyrikin bi-amwalikum wa-anfusikum wa-alsinatikum (Hadisu Sahih Rawahu Ahmad)
Berjihadlah kamu ke atas orang-orang musyrikin dengan harta kamu, diri kamu dan lisan kamu.

14. Jaddidu imaanakum akthiru min qauli: Lailaha ilallah (Hadisu Sahih Rawahu Ahmad)
Perbaharuilah iman kamu dengan memperbanyak menyebut kalimah: Lailaha illallah

15. Hubbud dunya ra’su kulli khati-atin (Rawahu Baihaqi)
Cintai kepada dunia punca segala kesalahan.

16. Huffatil jannati bilmakarihi wa huffatinnari bisy-syahawat (Rawahu Muslim)
Dikelilingi jannah itu dengan benda-benda yang tidak disenangi dan dikelilingi neraka itu dengan nafsu.

17. Khamsun min haqqil muslim ‘alal muslim: Raddu tahiyyatu wa-i-jabatudda’wa-ti-wasyuhudul janazati wa-’iyadatul marid watasymitul ‘atas i-zha hamidallah. (Hadisu Sahih Rawahu Ibnu Majah)

18. Khiyarukum ahasinukum akhlaqa (Rawahu Bukhari wa Muslim)
Sebaik-baik kamu ialah orang yang memperelokkan akhlaknya

19. Khairukum man ta’lamal quraana wa ‘alamah (Rawahu Bukhari)
Sebaik-baik kamu adalah yang mempelajari Al-Quran dan mengajarkannya.

20. Al-khalqu kulluhum ‘iyalullah fa-ahhabbuhum ilallah anfa’uhum li’iyalihi (Rawahu Abu Ya’la)
Seluruh makhluk yang berada di muka bumi ialah faqir, dan yang dicintai Allah ialah yang bermanfaat kepada keluarganya.

1. Innamal a’maalubinniyyat wa innama likullimra in ma nawa faman kanat hijratuhu ilallahi wa rasuluhi fahijratuhu ilallihi wa rasulihi faman kanat hijratuhu liddunya yuSibuha awimra atin yankihuha fahijratuhu ila mahajara ilaihi (Rawahu Bukhari wa Muslim)

2. Abngadur rijaalu ilallahil aladdul khiSam (Rawahu Bukhari wa Muslim)

3. Ittaqillahi haisuma kuntu wa atbi’ussayyi atil hasanatu tamhuha wa khaalaqinnaasi bi khuluqin hasan (Hadisu hasan Rawahut-Tarmizi) Bertaqwalah kamu di mana sahaja kamu berada, dan ikutilah kejahatan yang kamu lakukan dengan kebaikan . Maka akan dihapuskan kejahatan. Bermu’amalatlah dengan manusia dengan akhlak atau tabi’at yang baik.

4. Ahabbul bilaadi ilallahi masajiduha wa ab-ngadhul bilaadi ilallahi aswaquha (Rawahu Muslim)
Sebaik-baik tempat di muka bumi Allah ialah masjid-masjid, dan seburuk-buruk tempat di muka bumi ialah pasar-pasar.

5. Ahabbullahi lima yaghzhawakum bihi min ni’mihi wa ahibbuni lihutillahi wa ahibbu ahli baiti lihubbi (Rawahu At-tarmizi) Cintailah Allah Taala atas apa yang diberikan kepada kamu makanan dari nikmat-nikmatNya, dan cintailah Rasulullah Sallahu’alaihiwasallam kerana Allah mencintaiku dan cintailah ahli keluargaku kerana Allah mencintaiku.

6. Birru aabaa akum tabirrukum abna ukum wa’iffawa ta’iffu nisa’ukum (Hadisu Hasan Rawahut-Tabrani)

7. Basyyiril masya-ina filzhulami ilal masajidi binnuuril tammi yaumal qiyamah (Hadisu Sahih Rawahu Abu Daud)

8. Baina kulli azhanaini Solatan liman sya-a (Rawahu Bukhari wa Muslim)

9. Albakhilu man zhukkirtu ‘indahu falam yuSalli ‘alayya (Hadisu Sahih Rawahul Imami Ahmad)
Orang-orang yang bakhil ialah orang yang disebutkan namaku, tidak berSelawat atasku

10. Attajirril amiiniSSudukul muslim ma’asy syuhada-i yaumal qiyamah (Hadisu Sahih Rawahul Hakim)
Orang-orang yang suka perniagaan, yang amanah dan benar, mereka boleh mencapai taraf syuhada’ pada hari qiamat.
